Currently the majority of our disadvantage children have been over looked as a valuable resource to fuel the next generation of high tech industries and demands. We are at a critical point where being able to perform manual jobs and trades will be replaced with advance automation and cheaper labor over seas. Continuing to only teach and concentrate large amount of resources towards these industries are misleading because these industries will not be here tomorrow. As you know, large amount of money has been spent to resolve this issue by all levels of government, private companies, and charity groups. Several proposals, quick fixes, fly-by-night organizations, universities, and churches have profited from this situation by promising various solutions. As you can see these attempts, how sincere they may be, have failed. The problem has been in the approach. These communities do not desire or need another hand-out to satisfy their hunger for today. What they need is valuable training that will feed them tomorrow and beyond. The Bridge Program is one way to revitalize these communities. We are not another organization trying to tell you how to build these communities. We are an organization that will give these communities the tools to build themselves by providing next generation skills that are in high demand now as well as tomorrow. |
